The Federal Highway corridor and the rural-residential country on Canberra's northern and eastern edges. Most of these runs climb past Lake George in the dark, which fogs far more often than people expect.

The northern half is highway country: Collector at the top of Lake George with its Bushranger Hotel and pumpkin festival, Lerida and Currawang either side, and Tarago with the Loaded Dog, the railway station and the Woodlawn wind farm. Lake Bathurst and Mount Fairy sit out toward the Boro road.
The southern half is Canberra's rural fringe, and it behaves quite differently. Bungendore is a genuine village with a weekend-visitor economy — Ellendon Street, the Wood Works Gallery, the railway station. Wamboin and Bywong are bush blocks on the ridges. Sutton and Gundaroo are villages just over the border, Gundaroo with a Cork Street dining scene that draws Canberra out on weekends. Royalla, Williamsdale, Carwoola, Hoskinstown, Rossi, Forbes Creek, Mulloon and Captains Flat fill the country south and east.
Every run from this region goes up the Federal Highway escarpment past Lake George, and that climb fogs before dawn with real regularity through the colder half of the year. It is not dangerous when the driver expects it. It is a nuisance when they do not.
We allow for it as standard rather than hoping for a clear morning. A 6am international departure means leaving Bungendore around 12:00am. Captains Flat, the furthest locality in this region at $619, leaves earlier again.
Wamboin, Bywong, Carwoola and the country around Hoskinstown are rural-residential rather than farmland — five and ten acre blocks, bush, and driveways that are genuinely hard to pick in the dark even with a street number.
Tell us the block, the driveway and something visible. Kangaroos are constant through this country at dawn and dusk, which is another reason we do not run these trips to the minute.
Up the Federal Highway past Lake George to the Hume, then north through Goulburn and Mittagong.

We service the whole Southern Tablelands. If your town sits on the boundary, try the regions either side — or just ring and we will tell you the fare.
$519 one way for one or two passengers, rising with the seat count. Every locality in Lake George, Bungendore & Canberra Fringe has its own published fare in the table above.
Around 12:00 AM from Bungendore. That allows the drive plus the two-hour international check-in window. Outer localities in this region leave earlier again, and your confirmed time comes with the booking.
The price is set by the passengers you book. The four-seat column is what four people pay between them, not each — which is why group travel from out here usually beats the train.
Routinely, and at no extra charge for unsealed roads or long driveways. Give us the property name, the road surface and a landmark we can pick out in the dark.
No. Nothing is charged when you book and we do not hold card details. You pay the driver after drop-off by card, cash or PayID.
Yes to both, and both are published: Western Sydney Airport is $30 under the Sydney Airport fare for one or two passengers, and both cruise terminals are about $40 over it.
No deposit. Fixed fare published for your town. Pickup time worked backwards from your flight.
Not sure which option suits you? Ask and we will tell you honestly.
